I’m a philosopher at the University of Arizona, where I’m currently finishing a dissertation in defense of moral realism. This coming August, I’ll be joining the philosophy department at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville as a tenure-track assistant professor.
My philosophical research is driven by the Socratic question, ‘How should one live?’ This question motivates and unifies my interests in ethics, metaethics, and ancient Greek philosophy. Earlier, I studied at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and worked as a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. I have also served on the University of Arizona's Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). These experiences have inspired secondary philosophical interests in business ethics and the ethics of animal research.
