Welcome to my website.

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Arizona in Tucson. I accepted the offer of assistant professor in the Economics Department at California State University, East Bay starting from Fall 2008.

I have particular strengths and interests in Applied Microeconomics. The first chapter of my dissertation estimates the impact of prizes on the choice of tournaments and effort exerted during a tournament. The second analyzes the effects of the first old-age relief program on the health of the elderly in the United States in the 1930s. The third examines whether public messages can prevent the formation of bubbles in experimental asset markets.

With best regards,

Adrian
