Research Interests:

I recieved my BA in Biology from Pomona College and entered the IDP Insect Science Program in August 2004. My research interests are centered broadly on insect ecology, especially species interactions and patterns of diversity. Recently I have become very interested in species interactions involving ants as predators, seed dispersers, and protector mutualists. Under the guidance of Dr. Judie Bronstein, I have begun studying an interesting mutualistic relationship between several ant species and the fishhook barrel cactus, Ferocactus wislizeni, in the Sonoran desert.
