Welcome to my web page! I am the Director of the Writing Program, and I am also a faculty member in the Rhetoric, Composition and the Teaching of English (RCTE) Program in the English Department at the University of Arizona. I also co-direct the Southern Arizona Writing Project (SAWP), an affiliate of the National Writing Project.

My research interests are ethnography, comparative pedagogies, critical pedagogy and democratic methodologies, curriculum development in K-12 and First-Year Composition, and English Education.

During my upcoming sabbatical, I will continue to work on borderland pedagogies in Mexico and Latin America.
