Introduction
When Johnny Comes Marching Home is an old traditional song from the United States. It is quite patriotic. However, there was an older song from Ireland called Johnny, We Hardly Knew Ye which was very anti-war. This recording uses verses from both songs plus a surprising narration of 20th Century war deaths.
