Alice is moving to London, Ontario,
not Missoula, Montana. What happened? In brief, she got an offer for a
different postdoc at the University of Western Ontario, and it was
a better one: more time, more research, less teaching. So there
you have it. Back to Canada. Alice starts at the end of September, and
the current plan is still for me to hang on a bit longer is Tucson
(which is, for the moment, where my work is). Believe
it or not, it is cheaper to fly to Toronto (and hence London) than
to Missoula. Visits will be frequent. For a brief while we
will simulate the lives of rich retired Canadians: a summer home
in Ontario (with frequent trips to the lakes) and a winter home
in Arizona. Winter-bound friends and relatives take note: it is
still not too late to visit us here in sunny Arizona, but...LAST CALL!
Website news: see our "Trips" section for a slideshow of my recent
rafting trip through the Grand Canyon in early July. Alice and I also
did another 65 miles of the Continental Divide trail in Colorado in
mid-July, but those pictures aren't up yet. Coming soon....
